Tackable Room Dividers: Divide Space and Display Ideas

Posted by Julie Wenckowski on Oct 28th 2016

Screenflex room dividers with fabric or woven fabric surfaces combine room separation with bulletin board functionality. Pin up artwork, post instructions, or display project plans while adding visual privacy to a shared space.

What Is a Tackable Surface?

A tackable surface lets you attach lightweight materials directly to a panel using pushpins or tacks. Screenflex fabric and woven fabric finishes offer this functionality, giving you display space without adding a separate bulletin board. Although PET panels can accept pushpins, tacking is not always recommended due to leaving visible pin holes behind. If displaying materials is a priority, choose fabric or woven fabric.

Put Your Panels to Work

In classrooms, tackable room dividers can display student work or keep instructions beside a learning station. In offices, they provide space for project timelines, brainstorming notes, and team announcements. For events and community spaces, use them to showcase photos, schedules, or informational displays.
As activities change, update the materials and reposition the divider where it’s needed. One surface can support a lesson in the morning and an event display later that day.

Choose Your Fabric and Color

Fabric offers a versatile textile finish, while woven fabric adds a more textured appearance. Both provide a tackable surface, with color options to complement your space or highlight your display.
