When Queen of Peace church welcomed families through the Salem Interfaith Hospitality Network (SIHN), portable partitions helped turn its Youth Center into temporary accommodations. But after years of use, its aging office dividers needed replacing.
A More Reliable Solution
Some dividers had missing base supports; others relied on homemade replacements. Volunteers tried securing them together and adding cardboard for more privacy, but the church needed a better solution. After searching unsuccessfully for replacement bases, a former room divider salesperson recommended Screenflex.
A grant, combined with donations from two parishioners, funded five Screenflex portable room dividers. They arrived in December 2016 and were first used for SIHN guests in January 2017. The folding panels offered flexible configurations for family spaces, with self-leveling casters and full-length hinges supporting setup.
“We are extremely pleased with these new additions to our parish,” the church shared, thanking the donors who made the purchase possible.
