Business Growth Without Building Expansion

Posted by Julie Wenckowski on Jul 1st 2019

A growing business doesn’t always need a bigger building. Sometimes, it needs a better way to use the space it already has.
For Adobe Creek Brewing in Marin County, California, growth meant welcoming customers into a working brewery. Founded in 2017 by Johnathan MacDonald, the business began distributing to local retailers. As interest grew, customers requested tours and space to host events.
Before opening to the public in 2019, the team needed to separate brewing operations from visitor areas while keeping the equipment visible.

Keep the View, Define the Space

Screenflex clear room dividers helped the brewery establish a barrier around its fermenters while keeping the brewing process on display. Customers could pass through to reach the restrooms with separation from equipment valves and ports.
The dividers did this “while preserving the brewery experience,” explained brewery employee Tim Hemmelgarn.

A Layout with Room to Grow

Screenflex’s sales team recommended connecting single-panel and three-panel dividers to achieve the length needed.
“Flex is the right word when describing Screenflex Room Dividers,” Tim added.
For businesses adding new uses to existing rooms, portable dividers offer a practical starting point: define work areas, guide visitor traffic, and reconfigure as needs change.
