The Concern Over School Cafeteria Food
In the 90’s we joked about the quality of our college dorm food and how we were told that prison food was of better quality than the “stuff” our cafeteria was serving us. No wonder there is what’s called the “freshman fifteen”. Now several years later, okay…many years later, we worry about the quality of our kid’s cafeteria lunches. I have to admit it, my kids are only allowed to buy “hot lunch” once a week. When pizza is considered to be a vegetable because of the tomato sauce, you know that something is just not right. Wait, I thought tomatoes were considered a fruit?
This infographic shows the similarities of prison meals and our kids’s cafeteria meals. So the next time your kids want to buy “hot lunch”, you will probably think twice about packing them something.
