I have a nice size bedroom that my two year old son and my 6 month old daughter share. I'd like to divide the space to make it more sound proof. Anyone have any suggestions?

You could build something out of 2 by 4's and drywall which would separate the room, but not be soundproof. Perhaps an office type divider would be helpful. They are 2 or 3 inches thick and will absorb some sound.......but not be soundproof. If you are in an area where there are large businesses perhaps they have one or 2 to give away. They will be heavy, bulky and hard to move, but may be of some help.
    Good luck !!

Here's a blog article I saw that you might want to check out:

Although, I think if you wanted something that was more compact, The Screenflex Room Dividers with casters look great. Do they make a more residential based product?

Yes !! Screenflex recently launched our Simplex Room Dividers. While these versatile dividers can be used anywhere, they are more in tune for home use. Give us a call at 800-553-0110 and we'll be happy to get the info to you !!

I have received quite a few calls regarding the need for room dividers for home use.
Although partitions have been sold to divide basements, create a home office within another room the most frequent need is to divide a bedroom.

For these applications I recommend the Wall Mount Room Divider, particularly the ones featured without end frames (shown on our website with an asterisk*). The panels on these selected units when folded will store flush to the wall.

Another great feature is that you can tack and Velcro on the fabric panels. This allows each individual to personalize their side with posters, pictures or other memorabilia.

Yes, Wall Mount Room Dividers are an excellent option. As Cheryl mentions, for home use units without end frames are by far the best option.
