Screenflex creates the perfect exam conditions for UWE;
Tewkesbury-based company lands its biggest order yet
4th February 2010: Screenflex has supplied its portable room dividing systems to the University of the West of England (UWE) to help them make the best use of a new building-previously office space for Hewlett Packard-and to create the perfect conditions for examinations to take place.
Dawn Stephens, Central Examinations manager comments, “The new building was primarily refurbished as an exhibition centre for the university where we could host events and showcase work by the students. However, the requirement for examination rooms also needed to be met by this new facility. Walking into the building, the space was a vast area that we felt would be extremely daunting for the students when about to sit an exam. It was with this in mind that we approached Screenflex to help create a more ‘friendly’ environment. Screenflex came up with the idea of splitting the area into six separate sections seating up to 250 students each, using 70 of their screens.”
