Making a Corner
SteveB
I am often asked "How do I connect two dividers at a corner?" Dividers are flush on the ends and can be brought together so that there is no gap. It may almost appear to be seamless. Using our MultiUnit Connector option, Dividers can even be latched together end-to-end. The latch works easily and is simply "Unlatched" to disconnect them for storing.

Because of the End Frame, however you cannot connect Dividers at an angle, 90 degrees or otherwise. But all is not lost! Remember that you can make a turn at any of the hinge points located between each panel. The answer is to select the correct units, make a bend where desired and to connect the two together either before or after the bend.

Say you wish to make a run of 16'-9" with a turn and then go 20'-5". Order these two size units keeping in mind you'll use the longer 20'-5" Divider going straight and turning at 16'-9". You'll have 3'-8" left after your turn. Now attach the shorter unit 16'-9" to the end after the turn (3'-8" + 16'-9" = 20'-5"). Now you'll have the L shape you desire.

Of course if you would like help or are unsure of any configuration, contact me (Steve Bonesz) for help, including free 2D and 3D drawings.

Great info Steve. For those of you who may not know, Steve invests a large portion of each day making 2-d and 3-d plans for our prospects. Each plan is tailor made for their specific needs, and on occasion a plan is re-created 2 or 3 times to get it "just right" for our customer. So if you'd like a specific room divider plan done for your situation, please give us a call !!
