We have a large great room in our house that we use for bedrooms when my large family comes to town.
As my grandkids are growing up, I am looking at more ways to create privacy in the great room "bedrooms". I did a search for room dividers, and I noticed a lot of shoji screens and other residential room dividers, but then noticed your product, and I was wondering:
What benefits does the premium priced Screenflex Room Divider have over more moderately priced Shoji Screens?
Why would you recommend a Screenflex Room Divider over a Shoji Screen, and vice versa?

Screenflex room dividers are easy to move and operate, have unmatched stability and flexibility.
The Screenflex room divider is a much sturdier room divider which is constructed of steel framing. This would make the Screenflex heavier however the wheels on the bottom allows you to push or pull the unit in place instead of picking up and carrying as you would do with a Shoji screen.
The Screenflex room divider will not fall over if someone were to bump into it which could easily happen with a decorative Shoji screen. Screenflex dividers are constructed to be FREEstanding: If you were to bump or fall into the screen it would move on its wheels and bend at a hinge connecting the panels. The greater number of panels in the unit adds weight which then in turn reduced the available amout of movement. On the FREEstanding unit, the End Frame (arched bar at each end) is what provides stability for the unit. For some home uses the End Frame could be a negative, especially if you are using the room divider in a smaller space. For smaller units where the End Frame might be an issue I would suggest considering our WALLmount unit.
The Screenflex room divider has the patented Postion Control Hinges along the top of the panels, at each hinged joint. These work on a ratcheting system and also provide additional resistence to movement, even when bumped.
Screenflex also has Self Leveling casters under the panels that will adjust up to 1/2". If you would have a slightly uneven floor the Shoji Screen would topple but not Screenflex.
The End Frame on the Screenflex divider has 2" sturdy, rubber, lockable wheels to also hold the unit in place.
The Screenflex panels are 3/4" thick, constructed of sound absorbent materials reduce background noise thus creating privacy that the Shoji screen would not.
The Screenflex hinges connecting the panels together runs the entire length of the panel. There is no way to see between the panels hence creating true visible blockage.
You can pin, staple and tack to the Screenflex divider which is great for children's art work they create when staying at your home.
